How did you become a Personalized Favors Specialist?

It all began with an idea in 2004 that although I hadn’t had my “own” dream wedding yet, I didn’t want to keep waiting! To fill that “space”, shall I say, I wanted to plant a “seed” of joy in the lives of engaged couples to be married. What a good feeling it is to know that there are married couples walking around and in some way, no matter how small, you helped to create that magical dream day wedding for them. I may not have orchestrated the entire event, but our favors that are placed on their reception tables or inside of the goodie bags that are given to each guest is apart of the entire experience for that guest and the bride and groom, of course.

I also didn’t attend my parent’s wedding. I was pretty young when they got married where they lived, in a different state. I didn’t really understand the importance of me not being there at the time. But, after I grew up and I reflected on that, I was pretty saddened that I wasn’t there to share that special day with my parents. Fortunately, they taped their wedding and I got to see it on video.

What do you do exactly?

Offer the bride and groom an assortment of savory edible favors, theme favors, and personalized keepsakes for their bridal shower and wedding reception.

What is your most memorable experience with a bride?

Several years ago a bride who was having a Peacock theme wedding contacted me. She had a photo of a peacock’s tail that she wanted to be used for a label. At the time I was a “baby” in the wedding world profession and the idea of a Peacock theme wedding really excited me! And it still does! I incorporated her photo into a label layout that she used to wrap around her bottled water. She was extremely happy when she received her labels and I was so proud of myself! It was my very first, unique experience.

What sets you apart from other Wedding Favor Vendors?

Striving to offer the bride and groom products that they can’t get anywhere else. Focusing intently on what it is the bride is envisioning and having a TON of patience!

Who benefits from your products and services?

The larger your wedding guest list is the better. Ideally, 50 or more wedding guests. But, it’s probably not why you think!

I think these brides are really looking for something to express their personality and individuality. That’s when their ideas combined with my products create the perfect wedding favor for their beloved family and friends.

Who does not benefit from your products and services?

A bride who’s wedding guest list is fewer than 24 attendees. Most products have a minimum of 24 or 50 items. Most times when I tell a bride that she cannot purchase less than the minimum she is no longer interested. Some brides will place their order online anyway, but I still have to refund her money or ask her if she wants to order more to make the minimum before her order can be processed. If she’s really in love with the product, she will give me the green light to add more items for her to meet the minimum.
